I have seen some builds on here where they make a two door from a four door.
It’s has got my interest but can’t find the threads even with the thread search
They also chop the top and slope it down into trunk line
. Has any body done a Cadillac this way?
If any body can link me to the threads I would appreciate it.
    Thanks Russk

Hi Russell...I dont have a thread ..but I am doing a custom 49 Caddy Fleetwood from a 4 door to 2 door.... have chopped the top sloping the trunk...As we dont have access to Caddy Coupe doors here in Australia ... I have stretched the door using the rear door and use the rest for the quarter panel..moved the B pillar back about 10"...I have a lots of photos in my albums and they are in different stages of the construction...its a big job ..but it might be easyer for you if you can find doors and quarter panels....Have a look at my albums......Doug

Here's a couple of my conversion threads

Both ForwardLook Mopars, along with this '55 Chevy one that I really liked

This Kaiser build is looking promising, but not yet finished

And this shoebox Ford which has beautiful workmanship and is probably the closest thread to what you're asking for

There's lots more, I can dig up some more if you're interested.

The key is to use a 4 door body style that had a corresponding 2 door sedan using the same roofline, makes the conversion much easier. What year/model of Cadillac are you building?

The chop should come only after all the 2 door conversion is completed. You want to keep the roofline intact for door and quarter alignment, trying to do both at the same time is a recipe for disaster.

This one too if if you're willing to swap a bigger portion of the donor body over

There was another good one from Australia I think involving a red early 50's Chevy but I can't find that one. Hopefully someone else here will post it.
