hey who can school me on State of Maine titles ? I understand that they don't title cars over 15 y/o ? but that there is some kind of a registration document that you can use for moving out of state or country, anyone with nay idea of how to get a hold of this form ?
Up until the middle of last October there was a way for out of staters to register in Maine. At that time they issued a requirement that any vehicle over 25 years old has to show proof of an inspection sticker issued within the last 12 months. If your vehicle is less than 25 years old, there may be a way.
the car in question is a Maine based one that has been bought for export, normally we have an original title for export but in Maine there is no title if over 15 years, just trying to find the correct term for the registration doc in the hopes we can get the seller to find or apply for one. thx.
