Does anyone on here make large louver panels? I'm looking to make a louvered roof insert and trunk lid out of some panels. Thanks

Consult the "WHO DOES LOUVERS" thread.

  5. It would seem to me that the Body Panel to be louvered should be shaped and finished and then punched full of louvers rather than starting with a sheet full of louvers and trying to get a shape made out of it.

Definitely true. The sheet would be weak across each horizontal lines of louvers as compared to the strength between rows of louvers. Once it's punched, it can't be rolled and when you try to hand form it to fit the trunk frame, for example, instead of having a smooth curve you'd end up with a series of small bends in line with each horizontal lines of louvers.
