i been beating myself up all morning trying to figure out what size tires i want/should run on my 1963 chevy c10 shortbed stepside. it currently has 235/75/15 all terrains. i am going to be driving this thing almost every day here in ohio. i was thinking of something like some firestone 255/60/15's. what do you guys think? the truck doesnt have power steering.
Try this link - very cool, what I used to pick my unorthodox tire sizes. It graphically shows various tires sizes compared to each other: Graphical Tire Size Calculator If you want to get the technical details between the different sizes, try this: Tire Size Comparison Calculator
i think that the 25560's are to short, unless your truck is really low. maybe a staggered set-up, would be better something like 25570r15 on the rear, and 22570r15 up front. lower it down a few inches and roll.
Do the big and little bit. Couple new tires up front, use up the BFG A/T's out back. Did that with my 63 Chevy half-ton that ran stock suspension and it looked pretty good. The good running 327 and Corvette 4-speed made it a fun little truck.
