Looking for Model A registration numbers?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by nate, Oct 28, 2004.

  1. So the consensus from the registering my heap in kansas thread is that I'm going to need some numbers for my bill 'o sale.

It's a 28-29, i have a frame and a truck cab. the cab has a small plate on the front of the gas tank, looks like aluminum, but it's been painted over and there doesn't seem to be anything stamped into it. I don't see any numbers on the frame. Is there anywhere else to look? Any other options for coming up with a number??

Take the body off the frame and you'll find it on top of the frame just to the rear of the firewall bolt hole about under where you rest your clutch foot.
Ya can't see it with the body on the frame! [IMG] [IMG]

The tag on the body is just a patent # plate- Not VIN numbers for the car.

DrJ is right - Look on the left frame rail, close to the firewall area. usually has a star, then A, then numbers and another star.

the Mac's Model A catalog has a break down of what year your frame was built according to the serial number.
