Look What Followed me Home

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by 1939fiat, Jan 28, 2008.

  1. Ok..hauled this home from near Chicago at Christmas time, (my wife loves road trips to anywhere).
    Bought in on e bay..It's one of those back burner projects,so don't expect to see it at any show tomorrow.
    We plan to recreate an old drag car that was run in Canada around 59-64.
    Been chasing parts to do this thing. Still need a cheap 32 ford rad shell.(CHEAP)..going to chop it down anyway.
    So, here it is....already have the anglia front axle,12 spoke wheels, torque thrust rears rims, 265 potvin motor, 56 chev tranny, and the 38 chev steering box..looking for an old ford truck rear end..

    I'm interested in the top section... if you're gonna chop it up?

    Dont cut the roof off, at least swap with someone for a roadster body!

  7. Hey Doc;
    I bought a really nice 23 t roadster. When I went to pick it up, the guy had it sitting on a chassis ,with fenders ,headlights ,the whole deal.I didn't have the heart to chop it up ,,and sold it.
    Found this ole piece of S&^% on evil bay..
    The original was never a roadster,It was a coupe that had been cut down.
    As for chopping the roof, it looks like it unbolts anyway..
    Likey get rid of it someplace..
    (not sure about shipping this to Oklahoma)..as I'm in Canada.
    Here's a late 60's version..

    That T body w/ot doors looks a lot like one I saw on ebay recently in Illinois... Heh... Looks like a cool project.

  10. The T coupe you brought home and the orange car are different bodies, different years. The orange car is a 25 or older. The coupe you brought home is a 26-27. The back end of the car is narrower on the orange one. Smaller deck lid. Different cowl. Pat.

  11. Cool project!! Keep us posted.
