The auction was in central Ohio about 50 cars. That is all I know.

I wonder what I'm supposed to be looking at, nothing shows up here...but it says there are attachments in your post.

Looks like it was just a presentable very mild custom if you can call it custom shoebox back in the 50's or 60's.
Lowered, nice redo on the seats, and a local paint shop metallic blue paint job. Local painter probably did the name tag on the back. Probably unknown outside of it's home town or home country as far as fame goes. That setup was the hot lick on thousands of cars around the country in the late 50's early 60's.
When I lived on Bainbridge Island Wa in the late 50's and early 60's there was some painter/pinstriper that the "older" guys would go to for the name and maybe some mild pin striping. The hot lick for them was to take the ferry to Seattle and take the car to Earl Scheib for the day and get a new paint job put on and then a couple of paydays later take it back over and go to Sure Fit seat covers for new seat covers that kinda looked custom to the rest of us. Drop the car off at 8 in the morning, hang out around Seattle for the day and take the ferry back in the afternoon with fresh seats. Then off to the dude who put the name on it. A big thrill was having the "older" neighbor guy pick me up in his slammed to the ground baby doll blue 49 Plymouth rag top that he had had HUNG TU LO painted on the sides in what resembled Chinese restaurant sign fount. Big deal for a 13 year old.

  9. It does appear to be wearing Ohio plates. Hopefully someone local recognizes the car.

I believe that the Ford from the 2017 auction ( the one pictured above sunk into the dirt ) and the one you are looking at are the same car @TikiTyme55

The auction photo show twin spotlights. Can't quite see them in current photos. Confirm?

If it is indeed the car from the auction that sat outside sunk to the frame rails in dirt for who knows how long... I would make sure to inspect the bottom of the car including the frame for rust, no matter how cheap it may be, if it needs a different frame, full floors and outer body rust repairs. the repairs may outweigh the initial cheap buy in..... and @TikiTyme55 I can't tell because you did not fill in your location on your profile. (I don't understand why people don't fill that in).I would make sure to see this car in person before I bought...

Car sat on a concrete driveway, never in the mud. Floors and frame are solid.

So the car changed hands today. Friend of mine saved it. I have not seen it yet but it is at my son's house Screenshot_20190622-204400_Messages.jpeg
