If you'll burn the gas/time to go to Lockhart, you gotta go to Taylor for Louie Muellers! Llano is probably too far off for most, so Cooper's Old Time BBQ is out- but if you can...
Muellers is one of THE best in the state, and has the credentials to back the claim, tho I shook hands with Bush Sr at Coopers and have ran into Jr a couple of times there.
Can't say enough about either, though Muellers is just a quick jaunt from the show.
