Technical Linking dual 94 eab

I am having a heck of a time linking dual 94's eab. The kit I bought is supposed to attach on the fuel inlet side but I have no rod sticking out to attach to. So I have to do it on the throttle side. Any suggestions or a direction to look would be greatly appreciated.

They make longer butterfly shafts that stick out the fuel inlet side.
