Great reference photos on some of the rods and customs that were shown.

 

Actually I think that was an airfield outside of Kingman in Yucca AZ. Untill recently there was a Ford proving ground there. Ford sold it to Chrysler and now I hear Harley Davidson is also using it. It's my understanding there's a regulation NASCAR track there (regulation might not be the right word).

I have a brother in law that lives near there. I was by there in October and they built a huge mountain of dirt with what looks like a road up one steep side then down the other not so steep side.
You can see it from the freeway

I'm sure some Kingman HAMBers know more about it and some of the strange stories about the WW II days there.
