License plate topper

Ryan, thank you for putting the H.A.M.B. license plate toppers back up in the store. Been wanting one but didn't want to shell out a 100 clams.. again, thank you.

Sold out at the HAMB store. Try the classifieds or an auction site. Been a while since @Ryan did a production run. Maybe after he gets back from the HAMB Pacific Outpost and his adventurers with exploding toilets he'll authorize another offering. I bought one the last time they became available but gave it to my cousin in PA for his '40 Ford p/u.

 

The black is kool, but "the H.A.M.B." is red. Now my oddball sensitivities would probably satin black the bottom so the iconic shield floats above the plate.

 

The HAMB tag toppers were shipped as cast so the owner could sand & paint them anyway they wanted.

Mine is a hanger, rather than topper.

I couldn't leave it unmodified.

@Bandit Billy, Why aren't those letters polished up?

 

I sanded it with 5000 before buffing but the casting didn't provide a chrome like luster. So far no one has ever got down there to see it.

They do but Im old and cranky and Im not asking an arm and a leg for it. Just trying to be a nice guy and sell it for a fair price. Some one can drag their ass here if they want it bad enough...it doesnt take up much space so it doesnt bother me to keep it

Because it's shit aluminum. I tried every thing I know, and it's better off sanded.

I tried polishing the adapter between my flathead and the T5, the magnesium content made the aluminum pop making it impossible to get a perfect polish job. I got it pretty close though by controlling the heat and who the hell is going to see it anyway?
