  1. Certainly never have forgotten the first time I saw one- a nice low mile '37 sedan in a car showroom in '78. Ladhams Motors.

    Herstis build, now in sweden repainted in brown, took these pics maybe 7 years ago, amazing car, but i prefered it in green

    make it kustom on you tube has one in his shop. He use to do a video every Friday working on it but now hasn't posted anything new on that project in quite some time and it sits in the corner while he works on other projects.

    How bout a "late model" ---47? Lincoln dropped the Zephyr name after 1942 but came back with the same body for 46-48 with a few changes to the grille and trim. Everybody still called them Zephyrs anyway, even if they weren't officially DSCF1517.JPG named that. DSCF1513.JPG

    In 1940 and 41 all Zephyr convertibles started out as 5 window coupes and were, er, "converted" by Briggs (same company that made the fancy Model As) for Ford. This appears to be a fairly simple modification. Provide additional internal support to the front and rear quarters, cowl and rear catwalk panels, then remove the top, chop the windshield and you wind up with this (probably with later model suspension and power train). Pretty s(l)ick, no?

    Just a heads up Make It Kustom on You tube is finally back to work on his 39Zypher 4dr-2 dr. conversion.
