  1. I've always run 500 Carters or Edelbrocks over the years because I found them easy to work on and to set up for the street.....mine is one of those screamers...7200 rpm. If your mainly on the track....you'll most likely be putting some gearing behind the motor ...ie 4:11 to 4:56's depending on the rearend......so you should be fine with those size holleys.....sounds like you'll have some support from your Dad.

Look forward to seeing pictures some time of the 27.

    Best of luck with build.

Edelbrock Street Tunnel Ram on my BBC with a pair of Thunder Series Edelbrock carbs. And a scoop from some old Ford. Smaller plenum is supposed to be better for responsiveness. No street time on it yet but have had some fun in the driveway lightin' 'em up.

Here is the set up on my heap at back to the 50's this year. 454 big block w/ Edelbrock Street Tunnel Ram Intake, with twin 750cfm Edelbrock Carbs, all above a snotty solid lifter cam. It hauls the mail and wakes the dead. Has Salt flat matt's Lake Headers, turbo 350 trans, 10 bolt posi with 4:10 gears.

usmc50lx<SCRIPT type=text/javascript> vbmenu_register("postmenu_5796993", true); </SCRIPT> - I'm interested in your setup. Your cam, is that a Comp, Crane or ?
Flat tappet, Hydraulic, Solid or Roller?, Transmission and Rear Axle ratio? I have a similar setup on my 454, but heavier car and a 4 speed. I've been thinking about upgrading my cam to a flat tappet hydraulic with duration numbers close to your's, but wondering how much low end I would lose. How's it run around town? It sounds like it, goes like Hell at the upper end!

  21. Looks like a rare Hammer Port 440 :D

Very cool, what is that Big Bad Mopar in?

  22. Another Mopar! Six Pack is not a tunnel ram, but it is right up there in the cool factor, and power production area!

Small block mopars fit in many tight places I have found, first one I have seen in a "pop" (anglia in this side of the pond). Nice work!
