1962 Rambler Classic 400 with a 343 V8, 4-speed and rear end out of a 1968 Javelin. This is the car Rambler should have built. If somebody would have told me I would be driving one of these one day, I would have told them they were crazier than bat shit. So ugly it's cool..!! 20181025_120739%20(1).jpeg 20180502_113137.jpeg 20180717_161130.jpeg 20180717_124326.jpeg

  2. Mine is an O/T 76 GMC with a 454, 280 comp cam, leakdown lifters, headers, an 800 cfm Quadrajet, and a TH400 with a shift kit. It looks like a farm truck, but is reliable transport and yet goes pretty well. I have stopped trolling, and just like the performance.

My '65 built 383 with a 727 auto. 4250 lbs. 13.8 pass in the quarter on street tires and full exhaust. She runs good for a big girl.

Yes, I used to run 10's, it's much quicker now. Huge BBC with a truck load of nitrous.

  7. My "old buggy" runs pretty good, the engine went 7.30's in a 66 nova, this thing probably weighs a thousand pounds less 355/th350 with a Detroit locker 9 inch

The truck looks like your typical old truck but it has a blown Dart big M based 540 and a matched driveline under the exterior, kinda gets overlooked until I let it rumble.

This is an actual "sleeper" because it could never look fast...ever ...
Bwahahaha  ask a a hot rod guy site a muscle car guy site question and you get @swade41 's answer ;)

No pics but in the early '80's my uncle had a '65 Dodge panel van with a 360 Police Interceptor engine and car 4spd. A real piece of shit and definitely not designed to handle but it did have wide gumballs front and rear as was the style back then...we were cruising a windy country road when a guy in a '70's Stingray pulled up behind so when he had a chance he pulled out to pass, my uncle stomps on it all of a sudden we're doing 100+ mph on this windy road and the 'Vette guy is pissed! you can see him turning red he drops a gear and winds it out, my uncle stabs the gas and we are running neck and neck, almost drifting through the turns. How he kept it on the road is a physics question:confused:...the speedometer needle is just bouncing now and at 12 years of age my life is passing before my eyes...I guess he realised that I was there and slowed up and let the guy pass....I bet that guy sold that 'Vette right after lol!:p[IMG]
