Mmmm...shift knobs. Here is some of my stash.
killer stash...i like the tiki lookin one
just finished this one, clear red with glitter
Here is one I just finished and sold at the Turkey Run. You may have seen it at Sonny DePalma's booth. Sold for $350.00. Most people came up thinking it was a Norm Skull. I was greatly happy with that kind of compliment but there is no comparison to a Norm Skull. Norms are the holy grail of skull shift knobs as far as I'm concerned.
My very first one in my truck and not for sale....
Here's a shot of mine, that'll go in some car some day...
Some more I've done and sold...
damn man, those are bad ass!
Here are a few of mine that I have made over the last couple years. I know this is for favorites but,,,hey...what the hell...just thought I would put them out there to check out. The metal ones are hallow. The copper one was made for Dave Shuten's bubble top car. OH, and my metalflake teardrop knobs are for sale on my web site.
Heres mine. picked up a while back from mckustoms here on the HAMB
I have to say those metal ones are sweet. But I like green metal flake alot. Nice job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
those are nice...have seen your work elsewhere and have always enjoyed it
OK So what is the web site? I want to see more!
anybody make cool ones for colum shit 3 on tree...
Shortdog, the Ms. Metal website is ... http://www.ms-metal.net/
I picked this one up when I was in the Philipines (sp)
I bougth one of theese in 99, and this winter its going on my 32 tudor
Dis one is da bomb! (wow, thought I was too old to use that sentence)
Or maybe this one is the bomb, it's in my Dodge. It's solid polyurethane (not real)
This one is in my wife's car.......................
What would something like this cost? Man it's freaking awsome!
Definite best in class, but I'd sure hate to have to use it.
Nothing to creative, the often done beer tap handle on my 58.
The baddest knob ever from my bud Norm Grabowski, I got 4 of em.
More than a set of tires, less than a house.
My, educated, guess would be somewhere in the $2500 range.
I think I paid $400 for mine (post #130) in '96. Mighta been $600. Now that I think about it, it was probably $600, because the mugs he was making were $800 at the time and I'm pretty sure the knob was $200 less. Anyhoo, talked to Norm at a show not to long ago and he told me I got a screaming deal on mine cuz they start well over 1K now....before "options." So, yeah, with the aluminum tongue and jaw, etc., $2500 probably isn't a stretch.
I changed my mind, my new favorite is the white and tangerine swirled glass knob in my '28. Apperantly it was an option
