Here is a T with a 28 grille shell that I did 3 or 4 years ago. by the way I'd like to find a steel 26 or 7 roadster body

Keep the pics coming guys! The reason I started this thread is because I recently picked up a steel '27 roadster on an A chassis. It has early juice brakes, a stock axle and some other cool stuff in place. We're just going to get it on the road initially, but I'll be building a complete chassis for it in the near future utilizing most of the suspension.

The long term plans for it are a chopped A grill, hand made hood top, axle hanging out in front of the grill shell (spring mounted across split bones under the radiator much like mattblack52's) and more. We'll remove the seat riser to get nice and low in the body (I'm 6' 1"). The windshield will get chopped nice n' low and we'll have tall skinny tires on it with steel wheels.

So that's why I'm gathering info... thanks for the great pics and info guys, I'm looking forward to more and more more!

And don't laugh at the "street roddy" wheels on my pics. They're ALREADY gone and I have a set of four NOS never before mounted '49-51 Ford passenger car wheels already on there with skinny tires... just no pics since then. :)

I had been leaning towards a narrow 28/29 for my Modified but just found a Whippet shell that I plan to narrow a little here and there. my rails are 17" wide at the grill location. (really want a track nose fabb'd for it but its not in my budget right now)
