All I had to start with was a body (cab) in pieces and a bare frame. 2 springs are cheaper than four. I'll check with you first on my next one ok?

1935 Chevy Standard 4-door. One-family-owned for almost 70 years. When the last surviving member of the family died in 2001, he left his entire estate to St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ashland, KY. The car wouldn't run, so one of the elders towed it to his home and asked if anyone was interested in helping to get it running. Three of us volunteered and we spent over a year getting it running. It had a cracked head, a seized piston, partially burned up wiring and a brake issue. It has almost no rust and the wood is all still solid. The church decided to keep it and not try to restore it. As much as possible, it's just the way it was when Bill Nolte used it as his daily driver up until the late '90s. Now the car gets used for weddings, cruise-ins and car shows. What we find funny is that it often has the biggest crowd at the show around it! You can read the whole story by going here: http://www.stpaulsashland.org/mess3.html and clicking on "The 1935 Chevrolet Story" on the right side of the page.
I'm sure that you have all read about the epic road trip to bring the '35 home by now. For those who missed it, here is the link: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=696444 Look for a build / rebuild thread in the very near future with all of the changes we've been making to the car. Until then, here's a teaser pic.
