  3. Ok, I guess I'll post mine. Being built by Marshall (Thunfield Custom) while I'm in Japan. I got to see it a couple weeks ago during a rare trip home.

  6. Thanks Chris. It's a 324, but this is Marshall's engine for a mock up only. Mine will also be a 324, but with tri-power.

Update on mine. It was backburnered for awhile. The BBC is out. A Fresh 392 Hemi will take it place with a Super T-10...., Just got a set of full length coated headers.

Killer thread!! Here is a '34 Chevy I built ground up for a good friend of mine, he drives the hell out of it! I chopped it 7" rear, 7+ in the front and leaned the a-pillars to meet the roof, 6" addition on lower rockers with '36 Ford patch panels, 2" channel, and lots of other stuff....:)

  21. Here is the '34 I just picked up.

Plan on yanking the 21 stud flattie and replacing it with Something a little more modern. Anyone have any experience swapping a y-block into one of these???

Here's my new '33 sitting in the garage with the wheels just sitting up against the car as. That's pretty much where the stance will be but I'll running wire wheels instead.

    HI Guys,
Very cool site. I just found this thread and thought I would post a pic of my '33. Just finished it.
I've always been a hugh fan of the California Kid and the inpact it had on me and probably many of you.
This is an original all steel car. The top was chopped the same as the original kid with the winshield post laid back and the top filler.
Jerry Slover of Pete & Jakes was instrumental in getting this car to the point you see here.
We digitized the original louvers then machined a louver die to replicate them. Jerry supplied location and spacing. A Rootlieb hood was ordered (without louvers) but with the raised edge around the front outfit with '34 hood handles.
To get the flames correct, we brought pictures of the original car into AutoCad and over drew the flames, scaled them then printed out stensils that were applied to the car. We even copied the difference in the flames from side to side on the original. We repeated this process for the California Kid text.
We were honored to be picked as a feature car on the television show CarCrazy and The California Kid's older brother unveiled at the SEMA show is Las Vegas last week.

    Cheers!
    Mickm

Here's a '34 5 window.... sold out of San Diego in the late 70's Olds power, hydro, 50 Olds rearend, suicide style frontend.

Sadly no pictures of it finished...but was never show quality...

Anyone Recognize it? I sold it to a buddy and he discovered Vettes....we both regret letting it slip away...
