Can't find it, but search for Larry Kopp. He had a '57 wagon called "Madman", whipped my ass many times. He later went on to prostock truck.

  15. BTT; I am bring this post btt. because I LOVE STATION WAGON RACE CARS.
I ran a 1963 Dodge Wagon 383 F/SA in the 70's. I could never quite beat a Dodge Wagon that ran out of The Rod Shop (Ohio). But I sure had fun with that car.

  17. I knew the vegas would find their way in here. cool pics all

  18. Dave and his wife were very competitive. As I remember they campaigned a 69 - 2 door Chev. & 69 - Chev. station wagon, both W/350 SB's. It was not uncommon to see them run against each other for the top money in Stock EL.

  19. In the 60's & 70's the NHRA stock classes were on, HP. To Wight ratio.

I ran an E/S 427/410 67 Fairlane 4 door wagon back in the early 70's in stock. It was definetly a thrill ride on 3.5 inch Rambler wheels and 7 lbs of air with 7 inch tires on the back. More like driving a boat in rough seas then a car. Once read the names off the side in high gear at the Gator Nationals with my partner driving. Have old paper pictures but no way to post them. Ran a best of 11.68 which was the record at the time held by Tony Pizzi's 68 Z/28. I roofed it with a broken locker and changed to a SS/E coupe

Not really a race car but it's a wagon! This car was more of a cruiser/show car. A good friend of mine built this in the mid 80's
