    A glass top hardtop with a Chevy nose! That is just plain wrong!!! As a Ford guy I am going to have nightmares tonight for sure. :rolleyes: This a cool post, always love 52- 54's Larry

  2. No mass produced flip one piece 'Glass hoods for 52-54 that I am aware of. They had to use what was available.
    Making a car lighter and faster, that's never wrong in my book.

    Seen these at Mooneyes. The first one appears to be a 53 chevy surround with a 49,50 ford center and not sure what the small bullets are. but it look great. The second one not sure maybe a Olds ? or Dodge? 20171209_140641.jpg 20171209_141859.jpg

    55 Plymouth.. I took about an 1.5 inches out of the center.

    i have a 3pc glass nose for 52-54 fords. i have to look at the tag to see who produced it, but it was made in the early 60's. only one ive ever seen....john

    personally i think this one is on the right track....but like all the others shown on this thread ...it suffers from the same problem.....don't matter what grille you use....the big cluncky bumper overshadows it....
    if this car above had lost the bumper and had a rolled pan instead i think it would be super cool,just my thoughts

    not sure on grille but not stock with center removed looks to be made from 3 pieces.the plymouth grille looks so natural when I see them
