a traditional trunk load for a '40 (from Moonshine Days in Dawsonville). Been saving mason jars from spaghetti sauce wife buys to put a case in my trunk, hey I may be old but I damn well don't have to grow up!

What's "flower car"?

Bam Inc, flower car is the vehicle that follows the hearse and takes all the flowers from the funeral to the gravesite. Cadillac made a lot of them, Packard and other makes. This one has a "cab" that reminds me of a Ute and the caption said "Australian".

Yes it does.

 

Jerry pulled the blown hemi after tossing an exhaust valve out the exhaust pipe. I believe he replaced it with a SBC after that.

 

I have seen this 39 in person several times, just beautiful. Hemi or Chevy, a great car.

great 40 pictures !! I have had 2 40 sedans 2 40 converts and 2 40 coupes. this is my current 40 driver

 

owned since 57, Keeper, had lots of 40's

 

Two shots from the 2015 Stray Kat 500. The '40 coupe had a killer flatty under the hood, with an Eddie Meyer dual carb manifold and heads. My '40 stake truck doesn't have a killer flatty, just a stock 221.
