a traditional trunk load for a '40 (from Moonshine Days in Dawsonville). Been saving mason jars from spaghetti sauce wife buys to put a case in my trunk, hey I may be old but I damn well don't have to grow up!

    What's "flower car"?
This is totally cool Hearse..googled it: http://blog.hemmings.com/index.php/2010/06/14/hemmings-find-of-the-day-1940-ford/
" 1940 Super Deluxe combo flower/hearse, this is believed to be 1 of 6 flower cars produced by Ford Motor Co. It is a stretch with dual purpose, flower car or hearse with casket rollers and all. This is believed to be the only one to exise. It is in wonderful original condition with 21,839 all original miles. It is all black, and it runs and drives very good. "

Bam Inc, flower car is the vehicle that follows the hearse and takes all the flowers from the funeral to the gravesite. Cadillac made a lot of them, Packard and other makes. This one has a "cab" that reminds me of a Ute and the caption said "Australian".

You mean the shirt Lynn is wearing in last picture? Hell we even have them here in CowHampshire! Lynn put the link, Dave High Inc, of the guy who made them for the GNRS in his blog and I just emailed Dave, and got some to equip me for the summer of "75". Link is [email protected]. Limited run so don't know availability now.

  18. Jerry pulled the blown hemi after tossing an exhaust valve out the exhaust pipe. I believe he replaced it with a SBC after that.

I have seen this 39 in person several times, just beautiful. Hemi or Chevy, a great car.

Two shots from the 2015 Stray Kat 500. The '40 coupe had a killer flatty under the hood, with an Eddie Meyer dual carb manifold and heads. My '40 stake truck doesn't have a killer flatty, just a stock 221.
