Don Rooney of Hanies Falls New York pinstriping a 1950's built 40 Ford hot rod.
Holy Shit!! I just realized 40 Fords are going to be 80 years old next year!!
Just got this 70's survivor back on the road. 401 Nailhead and 4spd driven.
More beauties.......credit to owners and photographers
Wow, that's a great looking convertible sedan, factory? Same as the ute and flower car that I posted earlier in this thread, there wouldn't be too many of them around these days!
A few of the '40s that were on the 6th Annual SWMO Hot Rod Hundred.
Greg Potter's 70's survivor coupe (was his dad's car that was in a barn since the 70's)
My brother-in-law's nearly finished '40 pickup, wearing '41 hood ornament and side badges, but '40 lower hood trim.
@southpaw-customs will have to advise on who this one belonged to, but it sure was slick.
And @southpaw-customs showed up with his low lid '40 pickup.
The Black 40 belongs to BurrKingDon on the HAMB
Spring Time In The Rocky Mountains And Out Come The Chubby Ones...
Well, once more the HAMB subscription notification feature dropped out on me back over a month ago. So this post can serve the dual purpose of getting me (hopefully) back into the notifications. and reporting getting my '40 out of my son's garage for it's first drive since last Sept. or Oct. Been there because his OT Mustang is still squatting in my shop in the '40's spot.Unhooked the Battery Tender Plus, reconnected the +cable quick disconnect, turned ignition switch on, allowed a few seconds for the electric fuel pump to refill the Holley 600, hit the starter and it turned over and fired in less than a full revolution
Drove it around for awhile till I had pulled gas level down to less than a quarter tank on the gauge, enjoying it all the more. Then added the Sta-Bil 360* and filled with 93 octane 10% ethanol as per usual , cleaned it up from the pollen that seems to get everywhere in the Spring here in GA and took it to the local cruise in Sat.
Next Sat. am, a trusted friend will drive it and I'll drive my 31"A" Hiboy roadster in the annual Reynolds, GA Strawberry Festival kickoff parade, and then it's out to the Silver Dollar Raceway for the Run What Ya Brung event.
There's a couple of pics in post #74 of this thread that HotrodPrimer posted for me as I ain't real sharp at posting pics and you were one of a few who gave them a "like"
Here are the pics of your ‘40 that Danny posted before.
I went back to check it out.
What a nice looking car!!!
I had to bring it back up!!!
Your 40’s give me a chubby
somebody re-posted to "39-40 sedans done right", I posted a few updated pics there, its still sitting waiting to be re-done, was missing eng & trans when re-purchased
just put on 46 front bumper.
I love your 40 but not the bigger bumper, not that it matters what I like.
It's different. I'm mixed.
Ran into i.rant Dave at Knoxville Friday. I've always wanted to meet him & it was a pleasant surprise. Nice guy & a great '40. Wish I'd driven my coupe now.
They’re all beauties, credit to all owners and photographers.
Poverty Caps And Trim Rings For The Occasional Flash Back..
I put some Baby Moons on my 40 a couple of weeks ago.
Thinking about adding the beauty rings later this summer. Just put them on loosely to try out the look in the picture below.
This nice 40 is for sale in my home town. Wish I had the cash to bring it home.
Just added fender skirts to mine to evoke an early '50s look:
Probably my favorite. From the Rodder's Scrapbook :
I've always liked 40s done 50s style. Might do mine that way someday.
