39guy-my time about 450 hrs-plus wife's time-10-11 weeks. Paint etc took a good while and was stalled for uph for 4 months as well-he was backed up a good bit.
Been driving it around a bit to get bugs out between rain storms-all good-drives great and the 327 is pretty spunky too.
I can't believe these pictures are now 14 years old!

A couple of ‘hot’ 40,s from the 70’s
Well the transport company finally got the 40 to her new home, it was a long wait. The voltage regulator finally quit after 79 years, on my watch too. But I fixed her and now she is ready for the road.
Remind me, when you get down to Springfield, to dig up my old "stock" wiring goodies for you. I know I have the stock regulator out of the truck, and probably the one out of my coupe, too.

A little out of the ordinary, for this thread, but still appropriate. I rolled 101940 in the stake truck yesterday, on my way to work down in Branson.

back in 1972, a friend had a really cool 40 sedan show car, 348, hand-painted flames, chrome rear end housing, wht pearl interior, some time back his son found the car & brought it back home but it was in poor condition.before & after pics, the lil boy in the pics is now grown shown with it
