Technical Lay back your roadster windshield, NOT that simple...

Dipping the cowl down just 1/8" will move the top of the those windshield stanchions back about an inch. Here is a quick visual with a couple of 12" rulers. And it wouldn't require any re-working of the windshield stanchions. It will require some stretching of the curve of the cowl to get them to line back up. I think you'll have to decide which method is your path of least resistance.
