Ok I got my Speedway lakes headers and they look great!! my question is as follows... I do not have an exaust system to hook the dumps up to so the cone and flange is open right now.....should I leave both open/ close the cone and leave the flange open/ or make a blaco off plate for the flange and leave the cone open??

How many drag or oval track cars have you seen suck or burn a valve when they are shut off. There is only a REMOTE possibility that an exhaust valve might warp if you were in sub zero weather and the wind were blowing up the cone when you shut the engine off. Just another wives tale that has taken on the mantel of truth with the retelling. Frank
I'd think block the flange. It'll sound better. And the people behind you get a better light show when you downshift to slow.
Ive got the same sitch. I blocked off the cones and Im blowin out the bottom flange. Still loud as hell, I love it! I always let my foot off the gas when I spot law enforcment types. Havent been stoped yet Sanderson limefires Rock!
