^^^^^^^ I like the earlier unpainted version. It was in a magazine in about 82 in the painted version. Still doesn`t look out dated as far as build styles. It has a two toned paint job today.

This is Doug Shoemaker's old Ford shoebox. I'd be willing to bet these pics are from the Leadsled Spectacular in Wichita in 2000. I met Doug there and we talked for a long time as I drooled over his car.
Doug is a great guy that has unfortunately drifted away from customs. He is a heck of a nice guy! E

 

Cragars on a Mercury? Just rubs me the wrong way but they don't look that bad.... Yes I have Fickle issues..

Doug Shoemakers and Clint Rings were two Coupes that I fell in love with at the Spectacular. Sadly both cars disapeared.

 

Is that a '59 Ford? Those taillights are excellent!
