I don't know which came first, but the A-Bros. "Golden Indian" shares many styling elements with Dave Crook's incredible 1958.

I remember these two from the same time span. I always liked the '58 Ford mesh with '59 Caddy bullets.
(BTW, The Chevy was the first car to grab me with the '58 Lincoln lights.)

In the Custom Car Chronicle article you will see that Dave was friends with Mike & Larry Alexander and they offered him a job after seeing his '58 at the Buffalo Hotrod and Custom Car Autorama 1963.

In the article on Dave's '58 there are some photos I don't think I've seen of the "restyle" after the accident. I have seen photos of it with the new back windows that are hinged, but did not realize they are asymmetrical.

 

We were talking about it last weekend. Jeff said they see it at Santa Maria's show. I thought this one could be the car.

That's John Meyer (@clean cut creations) in the passenger seat. My ride was from that very parking spot to the back of the hotel later in the evening.
