My friend Augie asked me to post this info for the car show they are putting together. Many who have been to this show in the past know it's a great venue and a great time... this has always been one of my favorite shows. The 6th annual Watson Drive-in Rod & Custom Show is being held Saturday, 9/18/10, at Watson Drive-in 631 W. Main Street, Denison, Texas hosted by Kustom Kings car club. This is an open show, and all makes and models are welcome. [This historic drive-in is located in downtown Denison.] Rockabilly music by PUSHROD. The show is from 10am ~ 3pm and the first 100 entries receive a dash plaque. Registration is by donation and all show proceeds benefit local charity. Please come join us for a great show and a good time. There will be multiple awards presented, as well as door prizes given away. Delicious Watson Drive-in food -- burgers, sandwiches, fries, shakes, and cold drinks -- will be available all day. Kustom Kings would like to thank all who attended our 2010 Watson Drive-in show. A great time was had by all, and we were able to give a needy family in Denison over $2800 after the show. Begin planning for our 2011 show, Saturday 9-17. See you there.

Hmmmm ... I retired 6/1 and I am busier now than I've ever been. I used to laugh when retired guys told me that, but am now a believer (maybe I'm just moving slower or maybe I'm more thorough -- whatever). I went to my 50th high school reunion a couple of weeks ago. GASP, I can't possible be that old. I kept wanting to see the young folks I went to school with; my wife [always being supportive] said "Go look in the mirror and get a grip !!" I'm planning on the NSRA SW Nat'ls in OKC in April, does that work for you and the Caddy? If not, I'll see you at the Stray Kat 500 in Dewey in May. Augie
Good chance we'll make Mick's SK500 next May...April is always a tuff month around here for getting out of Dodge...we never know if we're going to get 70 degrees or 70 inches of snow... R-
Understood on the weather; North Texas plays games as well ... but we get deluged in the spring (lightning strike are not old car friendly, either). Looking forward to seeing you and the Caddy in May. Augie
