This is probably stupid...but I was wondering if anyone carried jus the felt washers for Ford king pins?? I have a brand new king pin kit but seemed to have misplaced one of the felts....I understand the reason for this felt to keep moisture out. If I cant find one...is there an alternative to what I can use instead? Thanks....

You might try going to your local fabric store with the other one for a comparison and I be tthey can find you o piece of felt that will be suitable. Then just cut out your own. I nice set of gasket punches would make a nice cut.

Would a green or red battery felt work? Paint it black to blend in.

Yes, just as long as they aren't the anti-corrosion chemical impregnated type.

Another trick I have used; is to trim a couple of tie rod BOOTS - the dust boots - and fitted them under the top of the king pin.

  7. I have a set that came with a NORS kingpin set I bought on ebay, 1 felt is nice and 1 felt is kind of puffed up but they are both NEW and include the washers also. I can drop them in the mail if you get stuck...
