  1. The second pic is taken slightly more front on.
Not exactly same pics but definitely same car.

  2. The thing that convinced me they were the same car even before the 'confession was the position of the valve stem on the inside of the right front wheel........ exactly the same position in both photo's ....hows that for decades apart..:D

Search for a thread by Kmember from several years ago involving his model A coupe that turned up heavily photoshopped on the cover of Deluth(sp?) trading co. clothing catalog.. Similar theme as this, minus the BS story. It's worth a look since were on the subject.

    Deto, good catch manet

    Kent Bash, c'mon man.

I can't believe that phoney dog, just replied to the accusations with a half assed, lame excuse, a bulls&*t story and then vanished from the thread. If he was genuinely sorry, he'd have said something resembling an apology. I'll be scanning next issue for a retraction. You'd think he'd remember his brother having that cool roadster.
PS. If I'm ever the victim of a crime, I want you guys to investigate it.

If you are waiting for an apology, sorry but that will be photoshopped too.

Went through all that trouble to fix picture, and did not even fix lower cowl section.

  10. There must have been a lot of shots taken.
That one is still not the same shot.
    Angle is still different.
See right headlight position for example.

  11. regardless of the B.S.

  13. Integrity, some people have it. Then, there are some people that do not have the ability to stand for anything.

That car rules! Even if it was built 60yrs ago ;).

  17. I think Kent Bash's reply is short and dirty blaming a relative to get off the hook. I can't see why someone would go to all that trouble to get a bogus picture in a magazine knowing all to well Kent would know it was a fake.

  18. My question is WHY would Kent do this on purpose knowing that someone on the HAMB would catch it and call his ass out.........it coulda been a honest mistake, and IF so deserves to be taken as just that, now if it happens again............

  19. Wow... How do ya backtrack from there!??
    Honesty is the best policy...
Or a real crazy story to throw
    off the dogs...
    Wow...

  21. Wow.... dang I really liked that magazine too. The apology was almost as lame as the photoshop attempt! I mean seriously my brother just messes around with it for fun and could pick certain "too close" features out in a couple of minutes.... I guess on a postive note if they hired that guy maybe my bro could get a job? lol.

My thoughts? I've seen a lot of unprofessionalism in the print industry. This one just about takes the cake... Even so, the dude shouldn't fry over it or anything. He just shouldn't be writing articles for magazines anymore.

This thread is kind of sad.
