Thanks Jimmy! That was one of the first early dirt cars restored back in the 1970's. Not all cars have the traceable history like that one.

  10. What the hell was I doing in March to have missed this? I'm really glad I finally woke up! Great stuff as allways Jimmy.

Me too! Completely missed these shots the first time, thanks for posting!! Some great cars, most familiar to fans, appreciate the shot of the Harrell Engines #906 which Willy Borsch drove, the first drag roadster I saw run (the Pacific body Shop coupe in the background was formerly Harry Duncan's "Jitterbug" --- and the carburated Chrysler rear engined silver car, I think, was Coburn and Warren, featured once in R&C under the title "Chaise Lunge."

The picture with both Kenz on the 1st page , that picture was taken in front of the old Oxnard Hight School, They both lived here in Oxnard Ca. Keith now owns the shop on wooley rd. The other shop with the white hot rod, that shop was off of saviers rd. Keiths son use to run that place. They closed it down now. A buddy of mine here in oxnard has a lot of old pictures of Oxnard and its racing history.

The body was hammered out by Wayne Ewing (spelling?) and Ken told me the other day the only design issue was that he wanted the rear opening that housed the parachute to resemble the Engle cams logo. I don't believe it was for the logo itself, but everyone else was using a square opening and Ken wanted a triangle.
