If only it were a chick magnet too. They all run away because its too bouncy and loud and smelly and squeaky..

You are probably going for multicarbs, but if you don't
I have a merc intake and carb if you want to change the ford intake back to a merc. The merc carb is larger than the ford and looks more impressive
    "Hoss".
ps;I also have several tons of flathead parts, mostly stock that I'm selling if you need anything.

My C10 does all of those.. And rattles. But that's just fine because the A will be the chick magnet when I'm done with it. :D

Thanks dude, I seen it yesterday. I like the idea for sure. Though I have subsided the twisting effect, by installing all of the missing bolts in the front crossmember that i hadn't put in before.

It seems I have the same type of hinges on the trunk of my 31 roadster like you do

Nice dude! Great score.. Can't wait to see the progress.

  15. Hey thanks for your post on the cross member. Especially your drawing/plan. I was stumped how to do exactly the same thing in my AV8 project. Seeing your pics made it easy. Here's mine.... a little different but I have an 8ba and a sideloader. I did a few things differently, but used your design. Thanks!

Oh hell yeah man, looks good! Did you end up having to move the pedals over some?

  17. you can see from the photo, I have the crossmember marked to "section" the pedals over toward center a half-inch. But I decided to first try The Justin Way, and it seems to fit OK (clutch not connected yet). t's tight though! No more than 1/8" between the frame and the end of that clutch arm!

I'm going to hook up the clutch and see how things work. if it's just too tight, I will pull the crossmember back out and move the pedals a bit.

**still thinking about the frame boxing. I can cut a nice hole (I hope it looks nice) in the boxing plates for the clutch arm mechanism. They are drilled boxing plates anyway, so it should look OK. or I can change the plan and skip the boxing. but I have these damn boxing plates....

I have a box but the input shaft has been cut off and a U-joint put on it. If you want the box to use for parts or if you can find another shaft then I will send it to you. I will PM you

It's got headlights now! I've still got to finish the stands & add a cross beam/nerf bar. But the stands are mostly done minus clean up. The power went out so I couldn't finish the bar.

I finally sectioned my torque tube and installed it in the car..

Started by cutting the flange off.
I then cut out the desired length
    [IMG]
Then I bevelled the two pieces for welding.
    Clamp with 1.5" angle iron
    [IMG]
Tack it up! One side at a time 4 tacks total.
