Yeah I have the hood for it need to go pick it up. I have the window regulators and the vent windows.

Speed equipment will come after glass and floorboards. The "swirly things" (engine turned aluminum) will stay for now.

Normal oil pressure? Oil weight I should use? Anything else I should know?

Like I said earlier, 20w 50 on the oil weight. I run a offenhauser super dual intake with 2 holley 94s, gmc bubba dizzy, headers, and she goes about as good as any. Front coils are this part number Moog cc850. That is a front coil for a 91 Ford Aerostart, direct drop in, lowers you almost 3 inches and rides fantastic. Get all your rubber from Dennis Carpenter. They have great cust. service and are the cheapest for actually good stuff. Your flathead is model 8BA that was run in all the boxes, 49-51. Anything else, just ask.

What a super cool ride, I love it! Just move forward and don't let any negative comments mess with you. The car friggin rocks, you will be charmed with that flatty. Thanks to Hombres Ruin for mentioning C & G early Ford parts, they have a seal for my rear window on my 59 Ranch Wagon that I thought no one had. Made my day bro. Enjoy the nifty shoe box bro. ~sololobo~

Thanks everyone. Yeah plans are like this:
    1. Windows/Rubber
    2. Fix rust
    3. Speed Equipment
    4. Clean up engine bay
    5. Body/Paint (no chop, frenched lights, Buick trim, and maybe trunk and hood louvers)

Don't want anything radical. Just a nice clean mild custom.
Thinking a simple two tone paint job. Dark Grey and white or black and white.

Hey Ken -- Im driving that Edsel now <---.

I put aerostars in it and you can see how low it is. I would recommend it and I picked mine up for like 50 bucks.

The springs were cut on mine and in all reality it rides real nice. 4" blocks and a leaf taken out back.

Besides fabricating my own (no bead roller) where is the best price on floor pans for the front of the 50 Shoe? I see some kits for over $300! Is that about right?

what is included in the kit is big factor in price, our kits come with floor pans, floor braces, inner rockers and driveshaft tunnel a complete kit vs simple patches, usally floor are rotted badley so a complete kit is a plus

Well I decided to buy a bead roller and make my own floors. Couldn't bring myself to buying patch panels. Going this route http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=392498.

Patch panel kit= 315.00 not shipped

bead roller = 149.99 to my door

have the 18Ga steel and the tubing to reinforce the Bead roller.

Pics will be coming soon. Plan on frenching headlights and tailights first.

Well got this thing running a whole lot better! Fuel pump was going out. Bought a "rebuilt" carb and just didn't work out so i'll be rebuilding the one on here.

Anyways, car is going in to primer within an hour or so and I will have pictures for all of you including the metal work I did with all the body work also.

    Stay tuned...

Here is some pics of the first coat of primer. I may go red and white or black and white. I used 52-54 ford headlights. I frenched the rear lights. Shaved trim, door handles, emblems, peaked hood, and replaced all rot on the body.
