This deer season I stumbled across what looks like model T in the woods. I asked the land owner I could get some junk from his woods he said “go get it”. It’s been sitting upside down for years.

I thought it was an old ford but turns out it’s a Chevy, now I have to put my Merc flathead in something else.

It's not a T, some kind of GM product based on the "Fisher" plate. Six-lug wheels make me think it's a Chevy. Cool find.

I can't think of a single reason you couldn't drop your flathead into that Chevy coupe and have a damn nice ride.

Ah, I missed where you did actually identify it as a Chevy. I think the Mercury flathead would be awesome in there.

  8. For sitting upside down and in pieces, it's really not too bad, looks like you got just about the whole 3-window body out of it. Won't be an overnight build, for sure, but better than nothing. That's one problem up here when they sit in the dirt, the sheetmetal rots out.

Pretty sure that's a 27-28 Chevy - parts for those are usually cheap. No reason you can't put the flatty in it if you want.

I couldn’t wait until Deer season ended so I could go get it and not get shot. Some of the tin is a little on the thin side and pitted but is all there plus some rear quarters from something else. Yep I’m on cloud 9.

From the FISHER plate & double body lines it looks to be Late 20s Early 30s Chevrolet.

Could be a VERY cool car built '40s style with '3 Spring' suspension & Early Engine & trans.

I know its not what most guys would do, But an Early GMC 6, Closed drive GM trans & rear end... Or even mated to a '40 Ford rear.

  17. Possibly a 28 Chevy Landua Coupe or cabriolet. Not HAMB material but this might help.

I like what you used to bring in your "Harvest".
Last year I "Harvested" a couple of Ts in SD using the same method.

It is a 28 chevy. my grandfather had a 2 door sedan he bought new. He sold it in about 1950 to a young guy he cut the roof off and made it into a rod and later flipped it over. At the time it made my grandfather mad he said it was a good car. It had always been kept in a shed and he had never got it over 35.
