Thanks for sharing... I was there too, great event.. some great old race cars, kool track and history. Got to ride from indy to Jungle Park in a 37 ford coupe, with over 15 other hotrodders, what a great day...life is good...
used to always be the last weekend in september but i guess it conflicted with some race. they didn't have one last year. i think the main purpose this year was to set some marker in place. not too many cars left. the track operated from the mid twenties to 1955, then again for a race in 1960. google jungle park for photos. it was a fast and dangerous track with many deaths.
no plans for a reunion this year? all you hotrodders scared them. then again, i heard from regular attendees that it was the best year of all the reunions. hope they hold more in the future.
