How did the coupe run?

Yellow dragster is owned by Bob Ambrose from Grass Valley. He ran a 10.65 @ 125. Normally runs a 10.25. We did not brake- had the trans in high and the brake lock didn't work and red lighted.

That is better news than hearing about breakage.

The coupe ran as well as could be expected, it is heavy and the shifter is not optimal (or so driver claims). My concern was feeding enough fuel (getting signal) with the toilet sized carby.
I think there is more steel in the cage than a stock '30 A had in the whole car.

John Neilson built an engine for a blue Bonneville coupe that was parked behind the grand stands.

 

A mutual friend told me that he, Larry Madole, was missing 3 rd and going into 5 th with his freshly installed S 10 He has a 650 holley plus they were sorting out a rev limiter that was supposed to be set at 5 or 6 grand but just wasn't getting there
