July El Mirage meet CANCELLED

9:00 PM Thursday night.

Just got a phone call from the lakebed. Meet has been cancelled because of standing water from summer storms this week.

Posted to SCTA-BNI.org website:

"Onsite lakebed inspection has revealed the lake will unlikely be dry enough for our July meet without damage to the surface. The July meet is cancelled"

Rain! Are you kidding! I never saw a cloud in the sky, it's been Africa hot here. Course I am down the hill from El Mirage.

Glad you posted this, I would've just driven up there.

 

Bummer for you lakes regualrs Dan. With limited events, losing one is a big blow.
