Hey guys... Just wanted to share the news with you... Should be a good time!!

That’s right, in 1948, two Southern California icons, In-N-Out Burger and HOT ROD Magazine, opened for business within 25 miles of one another. In the decades since, the companies have something of a shared history – the same classic Hot Rods and muscle cars from the pages of HOT ROD could often be found cruising at the nearest In-N-Out. Come join us in celebrating 70 years of burgers and burnouts on November 17th at the Auto Club Raceway in Pomona, CA. It will be an all-day party at the drag strip with In-N-Out Burger Cookout Trailers, prizes, and one of the rarest track-days you’ll ever find as the hallowed lanes of Pomona will be open!

I'm sure the cars will be great but you have not lived till you've had a double double, fries, and a chocolate shake from In n Out

Lived out there in the 80's, the standards may have slipped. In & Out does have a better bumper sticker though. Anyway Kansas City has better bbq.

  7. Grew up in Covina/Charter Oak during the 50's/60's. I could hear them running at Pomona from my backyard. The In N Out on Arrow Hwy was where we would hang out. Nothing like a double double with grilled onions from In N Out! In N Out #3 Arrow Hwy. Covina.jpg

Not on the menu but a 4x4 animal style is the BEST. That's 4 patties and 4 cheeses. You figure out what animal style is.

    Coincidentally,
Harry Snyder used to have the concessions at Irwindale (1/4 Mile Drag Strip) Raceway and was the main guy from its opening to its closing in 1977.
I was just sick about it’s closure as Miller Beer wanted and got that property...:(.
So there it sits at Irwindale Ave ... where Miller Beer was up on Todd Ave in Azusa, Lagunitas Brewery is nearly on the same site currently.

Think about that next time some “Beer Cadie” Hands ya a Miller Light. I think I’ll have a Cheeseburger “Animal Style” and a Root Beer.

Looking forward to this as well. ;).

I may have to make the trip for this. We have In-n-out in Utah (which was a requirement before I moved here) but this thing is going to be cool.

  22. Tony, you have to get the taste of Vegeimite out of your mouth first! (I probably didn't spell it right, I just know it tastes like shit!!)

I was offered Vegemite, took a tiny taste. Luckily, revival was within reach...In with the Double-double, out with the vegg.....
A 'mate' in O-Z told me they issue vegamite in C-rations for the military. Bet AWOLs are way up down there...
If Vegamite and SCTA had a sponsored meet...well, it goes without saying.
    But that's just me...

No In N Out in Nebraska so always have to hit one when we go to the LARS.
