This is as close as I can get to 1965. One of the earliest pics I have of it. That's Don Coleman 's son Wesley sitting on the tire. 20170305_082227.jpg

  3. As a lover of Deuce 5W's, yours is at the top of my list. Yours is simply stunning and unique all at once. The hardest thing to do when building a Deuce is to pick the right color because most everything has been done before. The color is an absolute knockout, it has that 1950's flair that reflects the daring colors of the era. In my foggy memory it reminds me of color called "Lipstick" and I love it.

I'm biased and I admit it. Just love this car. Great job Johnny, great eye Ryan and great photos Tom.

Love at first site or "chrome alone". This amazing deuce is boss. Tom Davison shot it up like the champ he is.

The color is a Harley Davidson Burgundy Thank you for the kind words.

Being younger than most trad-rodders and living on the eastern most coast, I didn't see those beautiful rods in their time...
But closer to home we have a Paul _ ...
For years he painted all his '32s a maroon that is "close" to this one [i'm color blind], and he ran wide whites all round..... thanks Ryan...Mikie likes it

  10. I have another Coleman Coupe once owned by Neal East. It finally made it's way to me many years later through Big Daddy here on the HAMB. Here is a picture of the coupe from last night still running the same plates from Don Coleman and after rebuilding much of the mechanics. Also some more early photos of Don Coleman I acquired from J3harleys. Thanks Johnny car looks great!

The car is great, I've seen it a few times at events in Colorado.
Johnny and his wife (now I'm embarrassed that I can not remember her name, sorry) are even more classy than the 32. Great car, but even better people!

Thanks Mark, Your Coupe looks great as always. Man it would really be cool if we could get them together for some photos sometime.

No, but the family and I are coming for the Hillclimb. My move to Milwaukee has really stifled my annual hotrod events. See you in September ?

considering the quality of the competition, you should be very proud. Head and shoulders above any 5 window I have seen.

Definitely my idea of the ultimate 32 5W. I dig seeing this car around. Bravo!

@Ryan, I think the link to that picture in the article is broken. I click on it, but all I get is a spinning wheel (not my computer, but like the picture is loading).

Beautiful coupe. A prime example how sometimes less is actually more. Simple and tasteful, no wild chop or channel or body mods. Old Henry would be proud.
