A local auction house here in Savannah that usually deals in fine art, etc. has acquired an estate with a couple of interesting cars. John Bucci was a multi talented person who designed several cars in the 60's. I had the opportunity to see these 2 in person. Both are fiberglass cars. The futuristic one is "La Shabbla" and was a concept car that made it to the 1964 World's Fair. It has a Fiat engine that doesn't run and looks like it's going to be a wiring nightmare, but is a very cool car. Overall neglected but very saveable. Bidding starts at 30 G's. The second is a little OT, built in '69 with a Porsche engine. Back is toasted as it looks like the motor caught on fire. I believe this is "The Trieste". Very rough but bidding starts at 6G's. You can find a lot more info on the interweb.....

If you check lot #35 of the auction (Marks link), you'll see a plaque awarded to the GASS HOPPERS in 1964. Anybody familiar with that club?
