i heard on E! tv that he is selling it to pay back all the guys who bought subscriptions to GARAGE but never recived an issue?,just a rumor though,

 

wow really? he said in a couple of posts on here that he would never sell it.

I was going to say the same thing....I always thought that was his baby. It's answesome car built by some real legends. I hope someone that really appreciates it buys it, not someone that thinks is should be repainted and throw billets on it.

 

i dont care what his personal affairs are, i still like the man for his fabrication skills.

 

I have had to sell a car or two before to pay for mistakes in life !! Lets not bash the guy when he is done on his luck ,,even if it is a little self inflicted !!

I'm sure the marriage looked good on paper, but it would have been tough and not normal I'm sure. Wonder why he feels like he want's to sell THAT car? Seems like he get's tugged in too many directions.

Whatever he makes from that car ain't going to make or break him. Trust me. Whatever it's value, it's a drop in the bucket to his total worth. Consider royalties, rights, appearances, properties, assets, etc. I'm sure if he has any ounce of smarts he also has an accountant that is doing his investing for him. I bet he makes or looses that car's value everyday in the stock market with a couple percent swing.

 

I believe that Barrett Jackson is a "No Reserve" auction.

 

I like the guy just for lots of reasons and having stepped on my own dick before, It still hurts even if you do it yourself. Give him a brake and butt out.

 

Yes it is. If the car isn't bringing the number you want you have to be the last bidder. Then you can keep the car and pay the commission to B J. I don't believe that has changed.

 

I agree I don't care about his personal life, he is a creative and skilled craftsman.

Sure don't hear anyhting about him anymore.

His Yoder and Eckold are for sale on e-bay what ever that means.

Jessie James were every you are I hope you are building cool stuff. I don't want this to become a suck fest I just want to see his stuff the same as I want to see anybody's cool stuff.

this isnt the first time he has tried to sell this car, it was on the west coast choppers website back in 05 for like $150,000

i just seen the atomic punk is up for sale at b/j also.

 

x1000 on the fab skills.. suks for the bad choices he made. could happen to anyone of us. he still has my respect.

I think that is totally up to the seller. The auction guys "work" the sellers as bad or worse than the bidders!!! MANY are not sold if they don't "meet reserve". That's why you sometimes here them say during the bidding that the RESERVE IS OFF...
That car WILL have a VERY HIGH reserve, I bet!

 

Yes I would like to see that to maybe their is a listing of when it will go.
