If I am unable to make it to Paso (the week after) I will be there.. Had thought about taking the whole week off and doing both (coast to coast road trip) but I have been told I have to attend a business meeting during that week and would not have time to do both, drive and still make the meeting.

larry, I am trying to figure it all out.. I have to be in Long Beach Ca on Tuesday night thru Thur night for business.. I guess I could leave SC on Friday and drive up to PA, do the show on Sat and then leave early on Sun and put the pedal on the floor.. but three days does not give me any room if I have any problems.. and it would be a hard press drive (not that I have not done them before)...

Maybe a little Gumball Rally is needed...

So Larry, I see the show gets to decided where to park the cars, Is it the usually thing,,, I get put out in the back corner away from everyone else (that is how it happens around here,,)

Unless something freaky comes up, I will be driving up for the event, Plan to leave Thurs night and drive until tired, find a hotel and then drive the rest the next morning. Will find a hotel once I am up there or maybe just camp..

What time are folks getting to the fairgrounds on friday? Also does anyone know if there is a pressure wash near by so I can clean up a little before playing in the dirt..

She mentioned meeting a "hamber" at Uncle Dougs and said his name was "Skate Something" When I asked her if it was you she insisted your handle wasn't Skatefink. I told her it had to be since you were local and the only skate handle I could think of... Last time I listen to her!

Some of the Bay Area Boys,myself and Action Girl are coming up. I thought about coming up Friday and going to The Grove and watching some racing but too much to do in the garage. I just got the coupe back together on Sunday.

 

I plan to go on Saturday. I'll probably drive my Falcon.

I was going to try to get over to Williams Grove on Friday night. If anybody wants to go, I will have the 59 wagon so we will have some room. I think the heat races will start around 8.

 

Damn! I ain't been to the Grove in years.
Ain't no way I can make it this time either.
I was going to trailer the 41 to Clearfield, pickup up my 50 Stude pickup, and have the ole lady follow me to the Showdown & home.
Then we were going to leave the 41 home and just pickup the Stude.
Now it's doubtful we can go at all.
This self employed shit ain't all it's cracked up to be!

 

I've been in pieces for a while, but, I should have the rear back in the car in time for this Saturday. Everything that could go wrong... did. If I get to PA, I will definitely want to go to Williams Grove Saturday night. I could use it. Mikey, I'll follow you there.

Sorry man, Williams Grove races Friday night. Lincoln Speedway races on Saturday night. Might end up going there instead. I think it would be cool take some guys to the races that have never been there before. Something about a sprint car that sounds so sweet. Maybe we will try to arrange something.

 

I've been to a lot of tracks, but never Lincoln. I agree, Mikey. There's just something about 410 cubic inches making 800HP on alcohol in a 1,000lb car that's... sweet. See you there.
