This was destined to be a great day given that it started with a chance encounter with 40luv on the PA PIKE.

ran most the way to latimore with 40luv. Thanks to clark for helping us find a decent spot in the fleamarket.

weather was perfect, which provided the perfect chance to visit and chat with both old and new friends..

Jeff, nice pics. Thats coming across the Susquehanna Bridge, not trying to get blown across three lanes, white knuckling it.

Had a great time. This show is everything everybody says it is. What a blast.

Following Sawzal's Woodie up the Turnpike was a blast. That was the Coupe's longest trip to date and the worst part was the squirrely drive across the windy Susquehanna River bridge. Had a great day and talked to a bunch of people. I ended up being parked by a '50 Chevy owned by a guy who lives about 15 minutes from me. Perfect weather and it looked like record attendance with cars overflowing to the outside of the track. On the trip home, I hit a bump on the TP and the engine went dead. A guy in a Silverado from NJ with an empty car trailer pulled over to help while I was still coasting in the shoulder. I'm thinking, this is too good to be true. Turns out, he was at the Showdown, but left his car in Central PA for another show. The coil wire had shaken loose, so it was a quick fix. He ended up following me a good part of the way after that, so it was like I had instant road service. Fred, if you're on the HAMB, thanks for your help. I'll be looking for you in August at the Radir Hot Rod Party.

Like everyone else has said, a big thanks to Scary Larry and the rest for making this cool event.
