I have seen how easy a Jag IFS slips into a 64 f100 (I found a previous thread),But my 66 is twin I beams. The real question is; Are the coil spring mounts for the I beam riveted on? can the frame be stripped so that it looks like that solid axle frame (64)? I left my truck in Idaho or I would just crawl under and look.
I looked at my neighbors 66 ford to compare it to my 78 fords suspension and there are no rivets on it at all, everythin is bolted on, The I beam mounts are bolted to the coil spring mounts holding both on to the frame, Hope this helps, I also got a question of my own, my fords Twin I beam suspension is wearing out the inside of my tires, no one has been able to tell me how to adjust it, if anyone knows that would be much appreciated.
Darrin hit the FTE website, Ford Truck Enthusiasts for some good info on this swap plus i do believe hamb member "malcom" did a thread on this early 60's f-100, he is from mass. and pretty good thread.
