Just posted on the UK NSRA site, the Iceni Car Club had a run today....in a blizzard. Here's a pic of HAMBer 4ever4.... A fair few other photos available here http://www.nsra.org.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=19118
That's what I like to see. People who aren't afraid to get their rod out and play with it......even if the other rod is all shriveled and cold....
Had a really great day out. Out in the snow from 8.30 till 5.30. Best bits? Scrunching through some fresh snow for the first 8 miles, taking an alternative route along some snowy forest tracks, oh, and following the coast road, along the edge of the North Sea, getting lashed by an ice storm from Siberia...
Just cause it's old, doesnt mean you can't drive it in the winter. Theres nothing quite like drifting a 50 year old 4400 LB land yacht
Yup , she's off to her new home on thursday Darren , sniff Mind you , got a big bag of cash for new toys now
Well done Ratty! They're called Blockley tyres (funnily enough). 4ever4 reckon's they're excellent. He's got a well tuned B block and gets no spin off the line. They're quite expensive but seem very impressive. http://www.blockleytyre.com/
my 51 buick & 65 chrysler out in the driveway. the 65 is my driver so she goes out no matter what the weather is like. people look at me like i just murdered their grandparents when they see me drive a classic in foul weather. i just say 'do you think everyone just sat inside when it snowed in 1965?'
I drive my '55 Daily too. The looks and comments I get from people are the best part. Everyone is horrified by my two tone green/salt car
Got myself a '62 Chevy to use as a "winter beater" this season. Sure beats the hell out of driving a POS Honduh.
Always nice to drive in cold weather.... the heaters & wipers work sooo wellll! I've done it, always worried about what the other guys going to do!
My testicles have shrunk back up just watching that ! God it was fun , praying for snow again this year , especially now I've got a roof ;-)
monkeybiker, Great vid- fun to watch... just REALLY weird to see a hot rod on the "other" side of the road...
Great to see this thread again, those crazy Brits keep showing us how to enjoy hot rods to the fullest. Too f#*%ing cool!!!(no pun intended)Now we've seen snow, dirt roads, and fording streams. What next?
Damn, you guys must not have salt where your at. That type of activity would not be a good idea here in the mitten. Cool though!!! John
