I can’t afford a 409, come to think of it I can’t afford a 348 either. Even a 283 is out of my budget.
What is it about those 3 numbers, strung together in that order, that gives you a rise in the Levi's??? I guess I'm doomed to repeat 3/27, just like Groundhog Day... Lol!!!
@427 sleeper The first engine I ever built in High School was a 327, so I to have a special place in my hart (and my Levi's) for those three number in that order.
Same as profile pic, my Father's stuff. '62 409 425 hp, all numbers date code: carbs, distributor, 4 speed, etc. Missing the '62 Impala to put it in He's doing a 63 SS 409 340 hp car as well.
Careful Speed Gems wasn't giving the 348 a pass so I imagine any talk of 327's won't fly either. By the way, my first car was a 61 Impala with a 348/3 speed and at the time (high school, 1969) the guy up the street had a Palomar Red 63 Impala convertible, 409/4speed. I lusted after that car!
