It might be gone, but it's a free '51 flathead in SC

I'd love to get it, but can't. There's a guy in SC listing a frozen flathead 6 out of a '51 Plymouth on Craigslist. Hopefully it doesn't just get scrapped.

Whether it was any good to someone, I don't know, but it's definitely gone now.

 

I dont know why but its hard to even give those darn things away. They're good motors; can't hardly kill them if you try. I've had about 10 old Dodges and Plymouths with that flathead six and had trouble getting rid of even the decent running motors. I just sold a 51 model 218 flathead that ran good, just needed a carb rebuild, for $75. It sat on Craigslist for six months on and off before someone bought it.
