Technical Is This A '32 Heavy Axle ?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Speedys Garage, Feb 8, 2019.

  1. Getting parts ready for next week's swap meet at Cape Geradeau - Found this axle, I think it is a '32 heavy - Any help would be appreciated.

  2. Damn. Yep. Spindles, spring, and perches, all worthwhile. Little crusty ... but most 87 year olds are.

Mine is a little "holy" ... and no I didn't polish it, @117harv did.

X2...and definitely from an old hotrod. Looks like hairpin brackets welded to the 32 bone yokes.

  5. Thanks. Yes it's from a old hot rod the owner put a mustang front suspension, told me it was not like a street rod. Some folks have no idea. I think he watches too much tv. I also have the homemade hairpin radius rods. Crude but kinda cool, thank to all for the reply. Speedy

Yes its a '32 axle. Some refer to heavy but they are all the same 4cyl &V8 pass cars ,panels and pickups. Except for 1.5 ton trucks and those are Real Heavy.
