A while after the HAMB Drags I posted about a rumor that a Scorpion car may have been in Austin at one time. While out at Ennis last week end J. L. Pain , an x dragster driver told me he was sure it would have been the old Neal-Austin or Whiz kid's AA/FD. This car had a distinctive body design with a shark fin around the roll cage. J.L. also said that the body was with it.
If any body has any info on this car we would at least like to dockument its existance without revealing its location.
    Thanks DWRFAB Don Ross

Kent Fuller built 3 'Shark Cars' ... The original 'Shark' was for Adams/McEwen - built in 62 ... the second in about 65 was for Kenny Safford - and the third which was pretty much just like Safford's went to Texas - - and is being, (or has been), restored? ... ... The Safford car is supposedly up here (NW) - - but the body is gone and I don't know if the chassis has been documented as a 'Fuller' ... ... The first car, (Gene Adams/Tom McEwen), had by far the most sucsessful racing career of the three, (Olds powered Top Gas car) - and ended up having it's fin cut off and became the (Danny Ongias) 'Mangler' Top Fuel (Hemi) car, (also very Bad!)
