[ QUOTE ] Z-man, What is that frame?? Ilove that kick up. Also, is that a buick body in the little picture under your name. If it is, I have a 1920(?) buick roadster too.... know where there are any doors?? [/ QUOTE ] The frame is a '28 Buick, I'll have to shorten it about 10". The body is indeed a Buick, '22-'23 is what I was told. And I just may know where there are a pair of doors. I'll know when the body is all the way here.
Started with a glass 30 Roadster back in 1982, then a 42 Business coupe. And now im building a 1920's style 27litre V12 Monster racingcar (hey its pre 48) Next year i will do my wifes 56 wv cabriolet. I guess im a sick type
[ QUOTE ] I've noticed that there's alot of people on the HAMB building Roadsters / Coupes... Whos Building one??? [/ QUOTE ] Not roadster/coupe but I´m building up T-Tudor and collecting parts to A-Tudor. I´ve noticed also that rods are built more than ever!
O.K here is the one of the last pixs i have taken of mine. i am almost done after 90 days of building from the ground up.
In my case, I've always thought coupes and roadsters were the shit, hands down, but I kinda got sick of seeing the plastic '32's at every show and just wanted something that nobody else had. The Nash I bought filled that gap. Different than everybody elses' car, I wouldn't have to worry about seeing another car like it, and it was just ugly enough to be cool and interesting. Plus, it had a crazy roll top convert top. (A convert that didn't look like a convert? ) Well, you know how things change. I was just into starting to build the Nash and the chance to buy a roadster came along and I jumped on it. The Nash is now on hold and the roadster has fully engulfed me. So much for sticking to my plan. The Nash will live after the roadster's done. Here are a few pix of both.
Here's the roadster! Suppose to pick the engine up tomorrow, but I've been hearing that for 3 months now!
Hey Nashman, My father and i have one of those roll top Nashes. He calls it a lois lane car, cause its the same car she drove in the early movies.
LOL... we always called 'em Lois Lane Cars, too -- from the Superman TV show that was on Black & White TV. If either of you two guys ever think about cutting yours loose, give me a holler! They've always been way up there on my list
